Installing Oracle database 12.2.0.1 Patch 26609817

Step 1: Download the Patch from My Oracle Support

Step 2: Unzip the Patch

$ unzip p26609817_122010_Linux-x86-64.zip

Step 3: Stop all service managed by the Oracle Home

$ dbshut $ORACLE_HOME

Step 4: For Backup solution, you may take a copy of the Oracle Home as backup.

$ cp -ra $ORACLE_HOME  Backup_Oracle_HOME

Step 5: Apply the patch

$ cd 26609817

$ /u01/app/oracle/product/12.1.0/dbhome_1/OPatch/opatch apply
