1. Upgrade-Check:

It is recommended to check the Oracle Grid client software version with the dynamic view v$asm_client and the Oracle database Component version using dba_registry before and after the upgrade.

$ .  oraenv 
ORACLE_SID []: +ASM
$ sqlplus / as sysasm
SQL> select INSTANCE_NAME,SOFTWARE_VERSION from V$ASM_CLIENT;

And

$. oraenv
ORACLE_SID []: ORCL
$ sqlplus / as sysdba
SQL> select COMP_NAME,VERSION from DBA_REGISTRY;
