1. Check the envirement :

2. Upgrade steps from OEMCC 12c4 to 13c2 :
We are going to stop the old version 12c4 and we are going to list all the steps to upgrade to the version 13c2.
- Stop the current OEMCC 12c4 version :
- Copy the software of Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control 13c2 :
$ ls -lh em13200_linux64*
-rwxr-xr-x. 1 oracle oinstall 2.0G May 10 01:17 em13200_linux64-2.zip
-rwxr-xr-x. 1 oracle oinstall 528M May 10 01:18 em13200_linux64-3.zip

- Step 1 : Start the upgrade of the version 13c2:
$ ./em13200_linux64.bin
Note : If you wish to receive security updates vi My Oracle Support, put in your account details.
- Step 2 : Skip updates
- Step 3 : Prerequisite check
This step is going to check if our Oracle Linux parameters meets all minimum requirements before the upgrade.
Note : After the prerequiste check, we have a system Linux kernel parameter required port range failed :
We have updates the file /etc/sysctl.conf
# vi /etc/sysctl.Conf
net.ipv4.ip_local_port_range = 11000 65000
# sysctl -p
And Then RERUN
Update the Oracle repository database initialization parameters :
Step 4 : Choose upgrade an existing Enterprise Manager
We find the installed version 12c4
Step 5 : Choose new Middleware Home Location :
Step 6 : Connect to Oracle database OEMCC repository:
We are going to use the same Oracle database repository of the old OEMCC repository version.
Step 7 : We have some errors
Error 01: Error based on the no presence of the Enterprise Manager Key:
Solution : create the EM Key
Error 02: an Error, We should modify the parameter optimizer_adaptive_features to false :
Solution :
Step 7 : Check this warning about AMM and session_cached_cursors.
Step 8 : Plug-ins to upgrade.
Step 9 : We have a list of plug-ins that we can upgrade.
Step 10 : Set up OMS instance base location and weblogic user password.
Step 11 : In my case, we don’t configure a shared location for Oracle BI Publisher.
Step 12 : Port configuration details.
Step 13 : Go to upgrade
Step 14 : The upgrade takes many time and it depends of the performance of the server.
Step 15 : Run the allroot.sh script with the root user.
Step 16 : Finish upgrade
Step 17 : Check the OEMCC 13c2 status
Step 18 : Navigate the OEMCC 13c2 interface
Conclusion:
We have done an upgrade Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control 12c4 to 13c2.
